This award-winning play brings Hollywood to rural Ireland in a riotous clash of cultures. Set against the backdrop of a small Irish town, the story follows two local men cast as extras in a glamorous American movie. The internet and Tic Toc and “influencers” have only made “Stones in his Pockets” even more of a cautionary tale though the script was written a quarter century ago.
We mount it in part as homage to our earlier productions in this year of our thirty fifth anniversary.
With Artificial Intelligence causing labor strikes in our creative community, the whole nature of imagination and “intellectual property” becomes as important as the industrial revolution or the invention of the printing press as a game changer for mankind.
