DEI Statement

CMS DEI Statement

Cape May Stage believes that great theater should be a positive, transformative, and inclusive cultural experience for society as a whole. We are committed to sustaining a diverse, inclusive, and equitable space where everyone who walks through our iconic theater doors —  patrons, artists, employees, volunteers, and vendors — feels valued and respected regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, education, or ability.

We are committed to a nondiscriminatory approach and provide equal opportunity for employment in our theater and worksites. We respect and value diverse life experiences and heritages and ensure that all voices are valued and heard. We’re also committed to modeling diversity and inclusion for the entire arts industry of the nonprofit sector, and to maintaining an inclusive environment with equitable treatment for all.

We believe this is a continuous evolution as we strive to reflect and meet the needs of our patrons and our community. We acknowledge that there will always be more work to do in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we invite you to take this journey with us.
