Movie Night at Cape May Stage is a community “Film-Raiser” series to benefit a local non-profit. Join us for a variety of fun, family-friendly flicks at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse.

Movies are best experienced together! Be a part of this community movie event and help out some great causes this spring.

The Lads of Swampdoodle

Supports The Longest Yarn Project

Movie Night at Cape May Stage is a community “Film-Raiser” event to benefit a local non-profit. 

“The Lads from Swampoodle” is the story of a group of friends, primarily Irish Catholics that grew up in The Swampoodle section of Philadelphia in the 1950’s and 1960’s, then serving in Vietnam and remaining life long friends and a support group for each other after The War and over the rest of their lives.

As part of our commitment to the local community, 100% of all proceeds from this movie will be donated to “The Longest Yarn” project. To learn more about this group, click here.

All tickets for this event are just $10 + a $2 service fee. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door, based on availability. This event includes a pre-movie reception starting at 6 pm.

Easter Parade

Saturday, March 30, at 7 pm

Supports the Cape May Community Food Closet

Come out on Easter Eve to enjoy this classic 1948 technicolor musical film starring Judy Garland, Fred Astaire, Peter Lawford, and Ann Miller. The film contains some of Astaire’s and Garland’s best-known songs, including “Easter Parade“, “Steppin’ Out with My Baby“, and “We’re a Couple of Swells“, all by Irving Berlin.

 

No tickets are needed for this free community event, creative Easter attire is encouraged, and complimentary Easter treats will be served. Donations will be accepted for the Cape May Community Food Closet. We will be collecting non-perishable food items and cash donations. Please support this organization as they work to help our neighbors in need during the holidays and all year long.

Midway

Saturday, April 20, at 7 pm

Supports the NAS Wildwood Aviation Museum

The movie “Midway” centers on the Battle of Midway, a clash between the American fleet and the Imperial Japanese Navy which marked a pivotal turning point in the Pacific Theater during WWII. The film, based on the real-life events of this heroic feat, tells the story of the leaders and soldiers who used their instincts, fortitude and bravery to overcome the odds.

 

No tickets are needed for this free community event. Donations will be accepted for the NAS Wildwood Aviation Museum.
