Ways to Donate

Thank You!

Thank you to all of our generous donors, patrons, and friends of Cape May Stage. With your ongoing support we are able to continue to bring engaging and award-winning theater to the nation’s oldest seaside resort. We rely on your donations to help us to attract talented actors, secure the rights to thought-provoking plays, and hire skilled designers. All of which would not be possible without your continued support!

Your contributions are important part of the success of Cape May Stage.  Your contributions fund our mission and fuel our growth. Ticket sales cover roughly half of our operating expenses.  For the rest we turn to you, our friends, for support.  Your generosity helps us continue to produce high-quality professional theatre, which includes hiring professional actors, directors, and designers.  Thank you to every donor, both large and small, who has helped support Cape May Stage.

There are many different ways to donate and help support the work that Cape May Stage is doing. If you have a passion for the arts and would like to make a donation, we welcome you to select the option that best fits you. Thank you in advance for being part of the Cape May Stage family.

Cape May Stage National Playwright Symposium

National Playwrights Symposium

The National Playwrights Symposium is held every spring at Cape May Stage. This prestigious event is dedicated to bringing talented emerging and professional playwrights together with some of the world’s most renowned artists in an environment of community, creativity and craft.

Donating to the National Playwrights Symposium can help defer the cost for a playwright in need or can allow you to establish a scholarship in your name! To learn more about this event, click here

New Works Initiative

Cape May Stage loves to support emerging playwrights and their new plays. Through live and virtual readings held throughout the season, we are able to present these brand new plays to the public and provide real-time feedback to the playwright. New play readings are always donation based to allow everyone to enjoy these works.
Your donations to this fund will help offset the costs of these readings and allow us to present even more new and exciting plays!

Theater Preservation Fund

Cape May Stage is housed in the Robert Shackleton Theater built in 1853. As the stewards of this historic building, Cape May Stage is dedicated to maintaining and preserving it. Your donations to the Theater Preservation Fund will help us in these ongoing efforts. To learn more about the history of our theater, click here.
