Here they are supporting theatre at the renowned Waterfront Playhouse in Key West. They were able to take in the performance of La Cage Aux Folles which left them smiling ear to ear.
For over 80 years, the Waterfront Playhouse has been a beacon of professional theatre, bringing incredible productions to life in the heart of Mallory Square.

At Cape May Stage, we’ve always championed the female voice—on stage, behind the scenes, and beyond. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Roy Steinberg, we’re committed to uplifting female playwrights, honoring women’s perspectives, and ensuring their stories are heard.
Our 2025 season brings powerful, female-driven stories center stage. Vanities follows three lifelong friends as they navigate love, ambition, and identity from the ‘60s to the ‘70s with wit and heart. Love, Loss, and What I Wore, written by Delia Ephron and Nora Ephron and directed by Penny Bergman, explores the clothes—and the memories—that shape our lives with humor and poignancy. Sexy Laundry, by Michele Riml, offers a hilarious yet touching look at a long-married couple trying to reignite their spark.
Kicking off the season with star power, Carole J. Bufford in Concert takes the stage for one night only on May 24 at 7 PM, bringing her powerhouse vocals and signature storytelling. And to close out our Broadway Series, Julie Benko in Concert will dazzle audiences on December 14th.
It’s a season to celebrate bold stories, powerful voices, and, most importantly, the undeniable strength of women in theatre.

Today, the Robert Shackleton Playhouse was buzzing with talent as we held auditions for our 2025 season! Seeing a production come to life—from the very first audition to opening night—is one of the most thrilling parts of theatre.
