It is altogether fitting that in a season celebrating thirty five years of producing professional theatre that we produce a show from the most successful playwright to come out of our National Playwrights Symposium.
We take no credit for the success of Kate Hamill but celebrate her work at a time when we are still emerging from the fog of the pandemic.
This feminist and modern take on a familiar literary couple sees them through a new lens that examines gender, revenge porn and the dark web economy. We delight in this writer’s purposeful anachronistic humor using bits of vaudeville and comic devices that can be traced back to the earliest plays of Greece and Rome.
