Cape May Stage is committed to accessibility to all of our patrons. If you require assistance, please call 609-770-8311 in advance of the performance you will attend so we can accommodate you.
Below you will find what accessibility options we offer our patrons daily. We are also working on bringing ASL performances to the theater. Follow our social media pages to keep up to date on our ASL performances.
Barrier Free Access
Cape May Stage offers barrier-free access for our patrons using canes, walkers, scooters, or wheelchairs with a handicap accessible ramp leading up to the front door of the theater. If you have difficulty navigating stairs, please enter the theater from the parking lot on the right side of the building where you will find our ramp.
Wheelchair Accessible Seating
Cape May Stage offers wheelchair accessible seating in the front row of the theater. If you require these seats, please call our box office team before your arrival at 609-770-8311 to make the necessary arrangements.
Assistive Listening Devices
Cape May Stage offers complimentary assistive listening devices (ALDs) for our patrons to use. If you’d like to try one out, just ask the box office associate when you arrive at a show and they will give you one to use. We also provide disposable headphones for free, or you can “BYO” headphones to plug into the device. Any standard wired headphones will work; but wireless bluetooth headphones will not.
These ALDs will automatically amplify the sound from the stage and help you to hear every word. By eliminating much of the ambient noise and focusing the sound directly to your ears, ALDs can provide a major boost in the audio quality for any show.
