National Playwright Symposium

The National Playwright Symposium brings talented emerging and professional playwrights together with some of the world’s most renowned artists in an environment of community, creativity and craft. Held every spring at Cape May Stage, the 2023 symposium will feature Tony, Pulitzer, Oscar, Emmy and Olivier Winners!

The 2023 symposium will feature master playwrights Alan Zweibel, Eisa Davis, John Patrick Shanley, and John Guare. And the four day symposium will culminate with a reading of new short plays written by the participants. As part of the NJ Stages Festival, this special reading series will be free and open to the public.
